With a giddiness that would have embarrassed my son when he was in Kindergarten, I installed FCPX on my regular boot drive, then decided I should have taken better advice and installed in on a different drive. I am happy to say that I was able to copy the program to a different boot drive in the same computer and did not have to re-download or pay again. The key seems to be that it is the same computer.

Did the installer ASK for the ID on each install or did it look at the ID that was in your MoblieMe pref pane or iTunes settings.

Are you sure you want it on even one?

Wit the App store rules, you get 5 installs all tied to your iTunes ID
