…I had same problem also…. altough I had some success “adjusting” or changing my overlaps & transitions, on one project I decide to render my timeline to AVI first….

..I remember some problems capturing LP tapes in the past… most noticeable audio “glitches” and, as Mike says, dropouts (on some tapes)…. my problems was solved playing these tapes on the same camcorder that was used for the recordings …

very nice.. a real “pro” production… I can see the EX3 potential on the right hands and I’m happy I get one … maybe the DOF adapter can come later for me…

…. TOD are the video files… I once received a bunch of that and work without problems (… in Vegas) … try to “rename” the files to mpg and see if you can open them… or “google” for converting TOD files…

.. my best solution when I have a “strange” VOB is to open it in VideoRedo and make a “quickstream fix” … it is an excelent program for editing and fixing mpegs 2 with smart rendering (no recompression) altough not free …. the resultant VOB (or mpeg2 if you like) can be opened without problems then in Vegas…

… my main reason to use DVD shrink is to “fit” an already authored DVD bigger than 4.7 Gigs on a single layer DVD.. and also to “rejoin” VOBs from a DVD structure into one ….

.. as far as I know, all discs (BluRay and DVD)that are “burned” on a PC/Mac drive, are region free by default … regions exist only on professional stamped discs… somebody please correct me if I’m wrong…

… you’re right…for 30 fps, switch on = 1/60th, but switch off is 1/30th….

..I’m using (with Vegas 8pro) the mainconcepts AVC beginning with the iPOD 640 x 480 template and “customizing” the size (1280 x 720) for HD, as well as some other things (bitrate to 2,500,000 minimum, etc.) …. you can upload this mp4 video with your other web files (player, etc.) and if the final user has the latest versions of flash player it will play as a normal FLV (with no conversion from your Vegas render) …. this mp4 file is the same that sometimes I upload to YouTube as HD video… and here is an example of that:

Using 16 Gig Sandisk Ultra (plus MxR adapters) since January with my EX3… NEVER had a problem….
