Or… you could just download it from here:

    https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-19-update-1-build-381-vegas-effects-3-update-1–131678/

They always post the new downloads in the ‘News’ section.

Do you want to use any of the features that require the subscription?

Do you want to be able to continue using it 2 years from now without continuing to pay a subscription?

I don’t think you’re wasting your time. However, the DVD footage will not get “better” but you might improve it some using some filters. It won’t look like your current footage, though. Render for your best footage the same as you normally would.

It sounds like the effects window may be hidden under the Windows start bar. You might try changing to a higher resolution or setting to start bar to auto hide and see if you can find it there.

And there is no such thing as the product you mentioned. You are using VEGAS Pro 17 by Magix.

It is so low because the “top” value is 1000 and the bottom value is “-100”. So above the line is 900 values. Below the 100% line is only 200 values.

You can better control the value by holding down the CTRL key when moving the line.

July 20, 2021 at 12:46 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro vs Adobe Premier?

There are a lot of differences between the two but the basic concept is pretty much the same in all NLEs. Could I edit in Premiere? Yes. Could I edit as fast in Premiere? No. There are many things to watch out for in Premiere. One big one for me is simply creating crossfades. You can’t just overlap two events. You have to push them together and then add a transition to crossfade. The process adds frames from the end of the first clip and the beginning of the second clip to create the transition so you always have to be careful of your “heads” and “tails” on your clips. Where I VEGAS I trim to just where I want it and then just overlap the events.

Premiere also has a scripting option but, in my opinion, it is not quite as good as the scripting option in VEGAS.

But, Premiere has some features I like too. It’s all in what you get used to and which suits your workflow best. If you need to learn it for a job – learn it. Otherwise, I’d stick with VEGAS.

There is no such product as “Sony Vegas Pro 16”. I’m guessing you have VEGAS Pro 16 by Magix. Sony sold it over 5 years ago and the last Sony version was 13. The last version 13 was by Magix and 14 to day are by Magix.

What if you move all of the media to a different folder and then “ignore missing files” when opening. Now go back and add them back in one by one. Will it open then?
