  • What you see listed is what is currently bundled. Bundles change from version to version and offer to offer…

  • http://www.newbluefx.com – additional plugins for VEGAS like Boris and are frequently bundled with VEGAs as well.

The only way to know with your specific plugins is to install the trial and test it.

As for what is included in the current version, you’ll need to go to http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com and check out the offerings.

  • There should be no issue opening a 13 project in 23. However, I cannot guarantee the Boris effects will continue working as there are many variables. See the response in the other post but your best option is to install the demo and test it out for yourself.

  • The good news is that your “workflow” should not need to change. The timeline works the same way in 23 as it did in 13 but there are a bunch of new features – some of which may actually help your workflow.

As for the Boris products, the answer is “maybe” as you did not say the source of the plugin (was it a bundle?) and the newer versions of VEGAS may require a new version of Boris. So the best I can say is “maybe.” As for any NewBlue products, I can say that they will still work unless it was bundled with a specific version.

Your best option is to install the demo of VEGAS Pro 23 and test it out.

  • Also, remember you can still install older video driver versions as well (if the older version was working better.)

  • Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
    Fault Module: C:\Windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispsi.inf_amd64_383c5255ad7f81b4\nvcuda64.dll

    That’s still the video driver!

  • First of all, you have the LAST “Sony” version. All versions since then are from Magix – there is no such product as “Sony Vegas” for over a decade.

You might try installing and testing VEGAS Pro 23 (by Magix) and you’ll find what you want to do has become easier. The newest version now has Adjustment Tracks and Adjustment Events that should simplify what you are wanting to do.

  • Fault Module: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispig.inf_amd64_0afec3f2050014a0\nvopencl64.dll

That would be your video driver. Try updating your video driver.

  • Try using Parent/Child tracks.

    Track 1: Parent Track

Tracks 2, 3, 4 (whatever is needed to define all tracks that get this effect): Child tracks to Track 1

Add an effect on track 1 and move it AFTER the “Composite” (you can drag effects left or right of “composite” and each other). Now adjust the effect as desired and all children will get that change in the effect.

First of all, it should NOT be a one frame drop. It’s a tiny fraction of a second way less than one frame. But, yes, you can turn off the Quickfade Audio Events and it won’t drop on a split/cut. However, be careful in that you could end up with a small “pop” in those places. Not sure if that would still be an issue, though.

Under Options – Preferences – Editing tab, there’s a “Quickfade length for audio events (ms)” setting and it’s set to 10 by default so it will be 10 ms drop which is 1/100 of a second (not 1/30). So you can either turn the option off or you can change the number of milliseconds that it actually drops.
