I turn off what I don’t need in my L&C window. Next time I go back in ,unless I am using an easy setup I haven’t used befor or I have updated some part of FCP, or trashed prefs it remembers what I selected last time I used it. Kona 3 ver6.0.3

where did you see HD? I saw FCP and DVD
the only box that can encode CC for HD “allegedly”, in an NLE setting is MXO2, however the software to make the file that gets dropped in the timeline works well (except of course for the rendering) comes from the link i provided earlier

you’ll have to stripe code on the tape then assemble edit. hopefully you have a 1400 deck which can edit via 422 and not the 1200 which will not.
Being I don’t own an I/O HD i don’t know if the ltc out is currently functional, FCP itself does not output TC

when tiger gets to 10.5.6 the PCI expansion utility is reset and will stay that way (automatic) what it reports and what is can be two different things.

the setting you are looking for is in the Kona control Panel under the “inputs” tab “Audio Input” set this to embedded. This is input. all outputs are active all the time thus embedded audio is always output.

Under the “control” tab of the KONA control Panel set “DEFAULT VIDEO OUTPUT to “Test Pattern” and in the test pattern drop down select “Color Bars” click on the frame buffer and select 1080sf 23.98, set genlock to freerun
Does your deck see this signal?
If not you have either a setup issue with the deck or a cabling issue if it does
set genlock to ref now and verify you have 23.98 showing in the ref in
Does your deck see this signal?
(If Not You need to check your sync connections. are you feeding tri level to the deck and the Kona. what does the kona see for “ref” (locking to house black works for 59.94 formats but not 23.98 Psf.) also verify you are Psf and not P.)
The deck will show a picture in the lcd display at 23.98Psf

check your output in the kona control panel and make sure it is what you intend. you’ll need to drag it off to the side where it’s not covered up when FCP is the active window to see what the KONA is doing.
If your FCP easy setup and the KONA control panel agree on your output and that output matches your input setting on the Deck try playing your sequence while patched to the deck with no tape in it and see if you see picture in the lcd screen. If that brings joy
    try edit to tape
It does work I have the same deck and KONA

your canon prints to tape at 29.97 your zoom TC base is 30fps. I’ve never used the pull up/down in soundtrack pro but that may be your ticket. Try exporting an aiff bring it in soundtrack pro and process the pulldown.
I would presume your audio is ahead of the Video near the end of your piece
