I have a Mac Pro running FCS2 with a LHe Kona capture card. It always defaults to capturing 8 channels of audio when I 99% of the time only need one or two. Does anybody know anyway to make it not default to 8 channels? I have already tried messing with the preset and the only two options I have are 8 channel 16bit and 8 channel 24 bit. Thanks.

I turn off what I don’t need in my L&C window. Next time I go back in ,unless I am using an easy setup I haven’t used befor or I have updated some part of FCP, or trashed prefs it remembers what I selected last time I used it. Kona 3 ver6.0.3

I do it through the browser: Typically when I capture, I log all the clips on the tape and then do a batch. Before I do a batch capture though, I select all the clips in the browser that I have logged and right-click. One of the options in the menu is Clip Settings (or something like that). If you select that, you can set all of your clips to have less than 16 channels of audio.
