I would export it as a quick time movie.
Can’t remember off the top my head what my AE render settings are but I know unless your using AE6.5 it does not play well with OMF.Hope this helps

I know it only seems to like true type fonts? I recently downloaded a bunch of fonts and installed them into the fonts folder… all the true types show up in the marquee have not checked the title tool yet.
Any one else know any font knowledge?

Do you have idea where I can get hold of a copy?
I am trying to import a new font for a project and it’s fast driving me nuts.
Would also like to know a bunch of other marquee stuff but would be content to know the font thing asap.

would probably be able to set up something like this if you exported everything to your network drive using quicktime format and then reimporting when you need the file. Not quite as quick and flexible as Lan…but would provide some sort of shared storage albeit without the love of Media Manager.

Go to capture setting in your project window under settings tab. make sure “capture across timecode breaks” is turned on
The globe icon/toggle source deck thingy icon is o.k if you dont need time code or you can just unselect timecode without toggling source.rd

AVID do offer classes directed more toward post production. like a 2 day introduction to effects…etc.
What kind of editing are you wanting to do News stories and documentary or commercial music vids etc?
Also always browse the cow for the excellent video tuitorials.

what is your project structure like when you log into your adrenalines?
i.e days of the week like…
01monday
02tuesday etc through 07 sunday
or do you create a project per job i.e “coca cola spot”As i understand it…Media Manager wants to handle ALL deletion.
In my experience this is done by killing the project in Media Manager(must be admin account) and getting for example 500gigs to delete but 300 gigs expected because 200gigs are protected by being referenced in sequences. any master clip still in use within a sequence will be protected based on this relationship.From what I know…..users should NOT delete from the editing client if shared storage and media manager are involved.
depending on your project structure weather it is “shared” or “external” and the project folder itself is stored on the c:\ of every editing client or weather you map to the external project folders that are stored on a workspace…you do know that you have to delete these folders after you have deleted the project in media manager?
also “We also have about 500 or so clips (mostly renders) that are in the Dissassociated Media AND Delete Media Pending Catalog that won’t delete (without Overriding).”
it sounds like people might have been deleting from the edit client without being logged into media manager and the 500 clips that wont delete are “orphans” that i believe could be over ridden in the delete(beware)
or you could run some sort of SQL clean up script on the media manager server that would kill them.hope this helps you out.

Not sure what your using but on a NewsCutter you can open the Capture tool and click the Toggle Source button to get the globe icon.
select V1 A1 A2 and hit play on your DVD player hooked up to your Mojo……hit record on your capture tool and it should treat it like a feed and capture to your bin or timeline.
Might want to check your Capture settings and make sure that you dont have a small capture limit if capturing something of any length.

I have seen someone take DVD into the Avid directly with a portable DVD player through an Avid Mojo?
It plays on the DVD player as it’s ingesting, I believe as a standard(?) piece of media rather than DVD file/format?
I will investiagte further when he returns from vacation.
