    Hello,

I am having trouble with the following workflow:

I rendered my composition from AE, i changed my render settings to omf, i rendered the file, but when i go to export, there is no export as omf, there is nothing similar to that? How do i export my omf render out of AE?

This is hopefully just a simple thing I am missing…any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Okay,

I figured out that when i render in omf, ae automatically saves to a certain folder…the new problem is that when i try to render as omf, i get an error saying the dimensions aren’t right the correct error is

“AEGP Plugin OMF output dimensions do not match selected omf format (720×480) expected”.

Any suggestions as to what i can do to fix this?

    Select Composition, Make Movie

    Select the Output Module: Lossless

    And then select Format, OMF.

It means the composition you created at the start is likely smaller than 720 x 480. Use the pull down menus, and select Composition, Composition Settings. Then change the comp settings to 720 x 480. Try to export again as OMF.

I’ve been rendering quicktime movies at best settings out of AE. Then Avid imports the movie and converts it to OMF. If there is a better way I’d love to know but this has worked just fine.

I would export it as a quick time movie.
Can’t remember off the top my head what my AE render settings are but I know unless your using AE6.5 it does not play well with OMF.

    Hope this helps
