    (go for the 16 GB, then setup a virtual RAM disk for your Vegas projects, watch editing and rendering speed increasing ten-fold.)
    David- I looked up Virtual Ram Disk – I read the manual It is beyond my understanding. Is there a link or something i can watch to undertsand what it is I am trying to accomplish with VRD?

    but – I copied my post about vegas but I meant to change it to Pre Pro – because I am trying to change over to adobe – so wanted to know “does the same hold true for Pre Pro about more Ram vs the faster ram?

    I did as the Post suggested and it set the sequence to from my Cineform AVI 1920×1080 to AVCHD 1920x1080P square Pixel.. Is this a correct setting for an AVI?

    IF there is possibility of needing to edit the file later is the AVC a good format for maintaining the quality like (I think cineform is)?

    Which AVC setting would be best for storing for 1980×1020 30P? any recommendations?

    Sorry – found it I had accidently changed the composite level on a isolated clip and just found it. Thus when I changed tracks the problem followed me.

    If I may ask, do you have any experience or knowledge of Boris with PrePro. I have been Vegas Pro Primarily and Adobe when needed. Since I am switching over I have some software I am familiar with, but, I know all do not work as well as others in particular editing programs.

    Also (side note) saw you are from Burlington NC – great place Graduated HS there

    Sorry now I understand – my processor is I is an 860 Lynnfield 2.8ghz 4cores 8 threads if that helps, so an older one. maybe three years i think.
    I do good bit of internet uploading and rendering is a lot of my time. SO looking to make it optimal work flow.
