Amount of Ram vs speed of RAM?

but – I copied my post about vegas but I meant to change it to Pre Pro – because I am trying to change over to adobe – so wanted to know “does the same hold true for Pre Pro about more Ram vs the faster ram?

Unless you’re looking at DDR2 vs. DDR3 or seriously huge speed differences, double the amount of RAM will always be the best way to go for ALL memory hungry 64bit apps.

If you want to live on the edge a little, you might be able to put all that RAM in (with the faster RAM getting automatically clocked down to the speed of the slower RAM).

If your system gets crashy, I’d take the faster 8GB out.

More RAM = more better.
