    I cook and clean 😉

As for being a waste of money as I said this has only happened to me 2 times an once I DID do something different than normal (this is over a period of about 4 years) so when I went back and rendered the way I normally did the problem disappeared and the 2nd time I have to say it was a fluke. Like I said computers sometimes have a wife … I mean mind of their own. :-O

This has happened to me a couple of times and trust me I pulled what little hair I have out searching for a reason it happened and found absolutely no reason at all that this should have happened. Anyway here’s what I’ve done the 2 times it’s happened to me to fix it. I delete the MPEG and re-render the Vegas project. Sounds like a real PITA I know but it worked both times AND by the time you putz around trying to find an answer you could have re-rendered it 4 or 5 times because I don’t think ther is an answer except to say COMPUTERS and WOMEN! You can’t live with them, you can’t live without them! Well you could but how would you check your EMail and who would do your laundry ;-O (my wife has NEVER done my laundry-but she keeps me for other purposes)
Anyway I digress-it’s early A.M. so, re-render the job and you should be OK it’s just something that happens once in a while.
    I know that doesn’t help but it’s all I got! ;-()

Many times there are 2 things that can mess up your preview. One is all the stuff thats running in the background of windows especially if that computer is set up to go online. Take it off line and in particular shut down your antivirus program. Turn it back on before you put the machine back on line of course. The other thing is what kind of FX do you have on the clips? If you’ve got MB on any the machine will choke on it. Median is another one. There are some video FX that just take lots of resources to work and it sounds like this MIGHT be the problem. But then again what do I know 😉

if you highlite all of the images you want to apply a particular transition to (control click) then drag that transition down to the timeline and you’re done. Do this as many times as needed with other transitions. Hightlite the images you want the transition to be applied to and drag. If you want to use 4 different transitions for example each on 30 images highlite those 30 and drag the transition down, do the next 30, ETC.

sounds like you might have changed the drive letter that the footage is on. Just repoint to the footage for the project and you should be OK

PROPERTIES>(uncheck) Maintain Aspect Ratio OR PAN/CROP>(right click) and MATCH OUTPUT RATIO that however will crop the pic and you will have to adjust the position of it.

Absolutely. I prefer PAN/CROP-resize the footage I want for PiP (make sure it’s on the UPPER track) position where you want it and you’re done. Before closing out the PAN/CROP take a quick look and make sure there are no strange or left over keyframes (sometimes we forget) and thats all there is to it.

I’ve been using Verbatim printables for a few years now and have nothing but the best of luck with them (unless I screw up). They seem to play in just about any machine but then I burn at 2X. I’d rather take a bit longer to burn them and know that they’ll play.

If you’re using PAN/CROP to do the zoom COPY the one you’ve done and the highlight all the others and use PASTE EVENT ATTRIBUTES
This will give the same zoom to all of the stills OR you could use Excalibur and let 1 button do all the work.

When you appy the velocity envelope the end of the clip will show a “notch” at the top-pull the end to the notch an you should be set.
