How do I resize a still image to fit the screen?

I recently learned this…a right click and then something…

I don’t remember. Can anyone offer advice?

    Thanks!

PROPERTIES>(uncheck) Maintain Aspect Ratio OR PAN/CROP>(right click) and MATCH OUTPUT RATIO that however will crop the pic and you will have to adjust the position of it.

Thanks Don. This is helpful. Can you give me a little more detailed info on the second option that you suggested? I think that’s what I did last time but I still can’t seem to get it to work this time.

I’m not Don but I’ll try.
Open the Event Pan/Crop window and then do right click-match output aspect.

BTW, jeditdv (Edward Troxel) has a number of newsletters on his site that are highly recommended reading.

Hi again. I did this and now it zooms into the picture and actually seems to distort it a bit. How can I make it fit the screen without the zooming effect or the distortion?

“…it zooms into the picture and actually seems to distort it a bit.”

How large was the original image? I’ve done this thousands of times and never had any distortion issues.
It will zoom in very slightly due to the correction being done to the pixel aspect ratio conversion (square to rectangular) but, once again, it’s nothing I’ve ever worried about.

I think that I figured it out. For some reason, when I made the adjustment, it added a keyframe. When I removed it, it was fine…
