What Allen said! I don’t use it all the time but when I do it works out really well and looks terrific!

Volume envelope, drop onto another track and use the level control on the track header, drop onto another track and use a new BUS (all tracks should be bussed anyway) adjust the buss, go into Non-Real time FX and use the Amp Mod or Volume FX, any combination of the above but as was mentioned, try lowering the level of the rest of the clips before raising the level of the one. Raisng levels CAN bring on a whole new set of challenges. Of course it all depends how good the audio is to begin with.

if you are using the full version of Vegas then it sounds like the track header needs to be opened up to get to the track motion button. Grab the edge and pull it to the right to enlarge the track header.

use PAN/CROP to size and TRACK MOTION to position. OR you can also use PAN/CROP to position.

May 9, 2008 at 12:15 am in reply to: DVDA Script to Prevent Play Until Play Button Is Pressedwhy not put the warnings to play AFTER you hit the play button just before “movie”. IOW, set the 1st play “menu” to automatically go to the first menu page and have the play and scene selection buttons there. In either case have it start with the warnings. The 1st play could be a logo or an intro or even (heaven forbid) a preview of coming attractions 🙂
Just a thought.Don

just to make sure about the end action, you need to open the file you wish to place the end action on. IOW, when the DVD project is in the work screen open the first play so it shows on the timeline. Now you should be able to goto END ACTION and set it to LOOP-the defaault should be HOLD.
At least it is in DVDA3-maybe things changed in 4.5

PTT or print to tape option should do the trick for ya!

Edward has a tutorial about split screening but I can’t remember off the top of my head which issue of his newsletter it is. Short course, you can use either P/C or Track Motion to resize and move the image to the left or right, then do the same with the other footage. Of course, you need 2 video tracks to do it. I mark one track LEFT and one RIGHT OR TOP and BOTTOM or whatever I’m doing with the footage. Helps keep me for doing silly things if I need to make any change.
That should get you started. OOPPS before I forget, you might want to turn off HOLD ASPECT RATIO (you might need to)

The full version will allow you to have all that you mentioned and a whole lot more. Use the trial for a few days I think you’ll like it 😉
