I’m not aware of any way to do it, but you can select all your markers by selecting the first one, holding shift and selecting the last one, then move them all together. It won’t stay pinpoint accurate with the footage and it is an additional step, but if you already have everything in place then it’s the best I can think of.

Also since I got the 9.0a update everything has worked fine for me in 64 bit Windows 7, in case anyone searches the forum looking for “64 bit issues”

Well I don’t have any idea why it would play fine from a dvd and a usb stick but not from the PS3’s hard drive. All I can tell you is that sometimes we burn short projects as mpeg2 blurays on dvd-r’s, then on the PS3 copy the video file to the local hard drive and I’ve never had any problems with that method. AVCHD files rendered from vegas have always played fine too, but I don’t think I’ve done any projects longer than 5 minutes that way. Could you lower the bitrate a little and see if that works?

Well that is excellent news, assuming “Fixed an issue that could cause the Video Preview to freeze when using IEEE 1394/DV external monitoring” is the actual issue I’ve been having with Vegas 9. It would be great to finally be able to use the version I preordered way back when. Looking forward to getting this update!

We use the Ex1’s at work but for my home movies I use the Sony hdr-sr11 which shoots avchd and drops right into Vegas. Here’s a google link:

Yeah I went through this whole issue with Sony technical support the week that 9.0 came out. As Steve said it is a “known issue.” My question is, now that they know about it, when can I finally start using 9.0?

I think he means take the multicamera edit that you have, and render the whole project to a NEW avi. Then drop that already edited avi into a new timeline and cut out the mass. Then render to mpeg2 for dvd.

I upgraded to 9 Pro when it came out, and haven’t used it since. I’m sticking with 8 until they fix the problem I have with external firewire preview. It does have some new features though, but that’s entirely up to you if they’re worth it or not.
On my home PC I’ve switched over to 64 bit Windows 7, so I’m hoping they get 9a out soon just because everyone here has said the 64 bit 9 is a lot better than the 64 bit 8.1

Just to follow up with this, I have been using regular DVD NTSC mpeg2’s for the past week and so far none of them have needed to be reencoded in dvd architect, and they all drop seamlessly into DVD Studio Pro as well. I’ll stick with this for all short projects that don’t require chapter stops.

For the Q9650 are you just dropping a new CPU in your current system? If that’s all you need to do then I certainly wouldn’t shell out the money to replace everything else just for the difference between those two cpu’s.
