Sure, just go into AE’s general preferences and deselect Use System Shortcuts.

Nope, I had Use system shortcuts enabled, Todd Kopriva posted the solution in an Adobe forum a few minutes ago.

Hi jeremy.

Nevermind, I asked somebody with FCP experience to look at the project and it turned out it had gain effect applied in the clip in question, the slider was all the way down.

After we removed it every thing worked fine.

On further inspection, I just noticed that it’s not actually out of sync, one of the clips just went mute. The dB shows 0 but there’s no sound, I increased it above it and double clicked it and played it independently with no results. However in Premiere it plays out fine.

How can I get the sound back to it?

Sorry for deviating from the original question, but I thought Mac Pros could only take 96gb when running Mac OS? How did you manage to have the system see the whole 128gb?

Check this tutorial by Harry Frank also, it might be a little easier to implement if you’re only changing one or two text objects.

Here’s the screenshot of the timeline.

I have some 2d layers in between, but are the ones holding the effects (lux and optical flares), should I move then on top?

Thanks Adam, that was it!

I had to add an extra Mograph Cache tag since I couldn’t find how to tweak the settings in the dynamics tag, but it did the trick.

Perhaps those options are only available within the same tag in the studio version?
