You can also temporarly set your computer monitor to 640 x 480, which will bring any hidden windows back into view, drag them to the center of the screen and set your screen res back to where it was. Some people lose windows the same way when using two monitors, then disconnecting one. Setting it to one display will show any windows hidden this way. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

You can right click on a video or audio event and select event FX. If the track is thin highth wise in the timeline, the event icons will disappear. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

If your trying to capture Sd from an HD camera, why don’t you set the camera up to downconvert to SD and capture it that way instead of using the down convert during capture feature in Media Express?

Both the 8 and 10 bit uncompressed captures need a raid array to capture correctly, but the motion jpeg works great on my i7 without a raid. Are you dropping frames when capturing mjpeg? Try capturing to a drive other than your C drive. I have the same Sony HVR-A1 and capture straight from the imager via component out, no tape in the camera. That’s how your doing it right? Most people have success using i7 quad core machines.

I downloaded and checked the bitrate of your 1080 youtube clip and it is 4787kbps, then downloaded one of mine and it’s 5992kbps. I don’t know why yours is lower, maybe the format we uplaoded makes the difference. I uplaoded a 28mbs .mts file. Maybe try a higher bitrate file and see if there’s a difference. Also a fade in or out will show low bitrate artifacts like your getting more than one without any fades, so if you want youtube to be your player, maybe don’t use fades, if a higher quality upload doesn’t get you your desired results. Not in Vegas, Photoshop can make a png picture with an alpha channel(transparent).
