When you add an audio event effect, the effect icon at the bottom right of the wav file should turn green, notifying audio effects added. Is that the case?

March 30, 2019 at 5:54 pm in reply to: Capturing HDV video for Vegas 15 do I need a Firewire connection?I have an HVR-A1. I don’t capture to tape with it anymore since my newer cameras capture 1920 – 1080-60P where HDV is 1440 – 1080 30 fps interlaced video. But I can how ever capture straight from the imager via component and bypass the HDV compression of the camera. I have a Black Magic Intensity USB3 capture device. $199. The video quality is far superior at any capture setting than the HDV video via firewire. The limitations are lack of mobility while capturing since you’re connected to the PC and an SSD is required to capture to the 8 and 10 bit uncompressed settings.

At the end of your video where you are trying to move the text, it is snapping to the loop points. Try turning off snapping.

I work with 1080 60p all the time. If my project or render settings doesn’t show 60p as an option, I just type it in and save the settings for new projects.

Are you using video preview settings set to Best (Full)? Try setting it to Preview (Auto). Also keyframes can can be hard to see if two or more are very close to another and your timeline is zoomed way out. Zoom in to them to make sure.

So if you open a new project and drop that mp4, to your time line, it adds those extra tracks?

This forum used to let you edit a post. Not anymore. You’re using pro 15 I bet. In my opinion, pro 13 is still the best bug free release in my opinion.

It sounds like this mp4 has four audio tracks since importing it makes four audio tracks. Try looking at your project settings, in the audio tab, make sure it’s set to stereo and not 5.1 surround.
