Sounds like your fields might be reversed. Take a look in your video effects bin and see if you have an effect that will allow you to swap the fields around. Not sure if FCP ships with a filter that will do this,, off the top of my head i think Joe’s Filters has one,, Nattress might, I think there are a few others.
before playing with field shifting/swaping you should check your sequence settings.. do they match the video? and was your video captured properly for DVPal? how was your footage captured? what is your sequence setting? Is the horizontal lines visible on you computer screen? or only the CRT you are monitoring with?
simply shooting a mini-dv camera shouldn’t give you the lines you are describing,,

“I tried the same a month or so ago,, but only ver. XML 2 and/or 1 would work for me.. going from 6 to 5.14.

Not as easy as the average sony service menu or the 900’s,, but having no manual or previous usage of it, it took me only a couple minutes to open it up.

September 14, 2007 at 6:48 pm in reply to: Jitters when Converting Final cut project to quick timefrom compressor for client review I like the web download H.264 800kbps preset. file size is approx. 295.31 MB/hour and maintains full frame rate. If full frame rate isn’t a concern and dropping down to 15 frames a second is OK, the H.264 300kbps preset is nice at approx. 96.68 MB/hour. I’d stay away from this though if you have a lot of flashy cuts and fast transitions.
