You cant. But if you need the entire mask to move as one, why don’t you copy/paste it to a solid, then apply the track info to that solid and use it as a matte?

Any premade animation like that would start cropping the photos as it gets close to the final position to acchieve the desired shape. Is that what you want?
If you have the photos, to position all of them, then animate all the anchor points together and displace the layers in time is not all that time consuming. It may be slow to render due to resolutions. But a template won’t save you that either.
What I’m trying to say is that a template will probably have you lose more time adjusting things to suit your needs than doing from scratch.

April 13, 2016 at 8:15 pm in reply to: After Effects anchor point – position – rotation problemOn your first example, you can just add the difference from your gimbal start position as it goes up and down to the anchor point of the pole.
Something like this (add to the pole’s Anchor Point, I’m assuming the pole is linked to the gimbal):
gimbalY = thisComp.layer(“gimbal”).transform.position;
initialValue = gimbalY.valueAtTime(0);
[0, gimbalY[1]-initialValue[1]]Cassius Marques

you can hit crtl + home to bring it closer to the center of your current camera view after you turn it 3d. You can’t keep it in place with the default options AE provides.
There is a plugin that transforms the layer to keep it in place, but that not allways get the desired result since you can have infinite variations in transformation and have the same visual position. (ex. bring it forward in Z and reduce scale)

If you want you can purchase a template such as this one: LINK and study it, and you’re pretty much able to make/teach any of those videos.

March 4, 2016 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Question about seemingly basic animation in ElementIt doesn’t animate between your settings within the same group. But between two groups.
You have to go into element’s interface and duplicate your text group there. Set this duplicate as group 2. Then do the transformations you want on this second group. So you can transition between the two.
The reason you’re seeing it scale is because you have no second group. So it is transitioning to nothing.

Now hit crtl + alt + m. And render it out to your desired format with media encoder.

February 22, 2016 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Align object to face ahead on mograph traceryou can’t pass up an alignment vector from the tracer object to the cloner. So with that setup I’d say no. You can start up again and do the swarm following spline with thinking particles. You probaly have a “TP follow spline” preset file to help you get started. You’d use a cloner to clone the bees into the particles and after that I guess is pretty much the same(the colisions and spring effector).

I believe the interpolation will then be controlled by the expression and not the influence of the keyframe itself. So, no.
