is your reference car already rendered? I mean, are you rendering the car’s position with the same null’s properties that you’re linking the camera? Because it can be a matter of media interpretation. Tell me more of your workflow and if you can, post some Screenshots.

January 24, 2018 at 11:16 am in reply to: Code that controls when the beat kicks in (Many apologies, this is in the wrong forum)You have many possibilities to do that.
One way would be to use an IF/ELSE statement before that.
such as
t=effect("Slider Control")("Slider");
x=transform.xPosition-thisComp.layer("Sound Keys").effect("Sound Keys")("Output 1”);
(t<1?value:x);All you have to do is create a slider control in which when its 1 you’ve got the bounce/expression active and when its 0 you’ve got whatever you keyframe.

January 24, 2018 at 10:59 am in reply to: 3 new features I’m loving in AE 2018: keyboard shortcuts editor, colored markers, instant marker-with-dialog[James Poulakos] “I spent some time with the Keyboard Shortcuts editing feature — very nice! I can finally use my arrow keys to frame to frame, and use the big +/- keys on the numpad for zooming.”
We could change shorcuts before, just not so easily, that is indeed a nice addition.
[James Poulakos] “I can set a keyboard shortcut to place the marker and pull up the dialog box in one stroke. The cursor is in the comments field, ready for typing. Those two features are already saving me time.”
I Believe that already existed by pressing alt + *.
I haven’t noticed the colored markers, thanks for pointing that out.

how is the car animated? why can’t you link the camera to its position controler?

Your “Emitter” is set to Lights, its position should be any light’s position. Change to point to enable the position. Though you won’t have position XY. Newer versions of particular use a 3 array property. [X,Y,Z]. But you should be ok following the tutorial.

There’s a preset expression already built in that will smooth that out… alt click the position stopwatch to enable expressions, go into the little arrow, property -> smooth.

Kevin actually gave a very valid try/advice. On that subject, you should NO BE using that harddrive AT ALL while you donwload the tool and scan for the files…
