I thought I did that correctly buy maybe not. I will try it again. Will I need to reload fromt he FCP update dvds? BTW Is Caps lock down mean it’s all caps or the caps light is on?

I did that at the start but am still having issues. Things like…I export my timeline using QT conversion. Once the export is done, the settings for the timeline change, everytime. It switches back to image from Image+Wireframe and showing overlays. Everytime I change timelines it also changes.

I do the former and usually when I do, the option for audio and video is the default. All I am doing is creating a self-contained FCP movie. After the Xgrade, my default is…

okay just looked to see what I was being offered and now everything is fine with the QT export. Nothing changed for me. ??? Not sure what happened. I will still work on the BCC filters.

Having similiar issues with 3D. I open the type window and click reset pallette and it locks up. I have used rescue and repairs. It is working now but I Have “fixed” it several times. I also have a G5 2.0, AJA Kona LS, Atto 4d

There have been times that I have captured only Video. Since the Capture settings stay however you last used them, I have at times captured several clips only to realize that the audio was not selected. The way my system is set up I can hear and see even if the clips settings does not have it selected. I thought that if the Audio and Video selections were visible in the logging tab under the prompt box, it would just be one more piece of information and to me a useful one. It could have a V and an A that would highlight if it is selected to be captured.

When I realized what the problem was… I was rather bummed that I lost a day for that. But I agree that AJA tech is great!

No the static was a software switch in my Kona control panel. It had switched to SDI in when I am connected via Analog.

I would hate to have to reload the entire thing. But I understand the cutting corners thing.

I did that recently when I was getting a static look trying to capture or edit to tape. So everything but the OS has been updated. Question, if I reload the OS and get it back to 10.4.7…

will I have to relaod any other app like FCP?

My 5.0.4 number worked and I was able to download 5.1.2 I found out after trying to install that I needed 5.1 to get to 5.1.2 And it isn’t spelled out that you do. Also, Apple could do better at finding older versions of anything Apple.
