I am still having issues with exports using QT. Doesn’t matter if I use QT conversion in FCP or open a file (FCP file) in QT and export it crashes. The export in QT happens when I click on the settings button. I can export if I don’t try to select a codec.
I have reloaded Qucktime and nothing has worked. I have not tried reinstalling the OS.

A system reload might be the only way around. Aren’t you the one who updated everything but not FCP? Wasn’t everything working until you updated? Why not reinstall FCP with all the appropriate updates (use the software updater)?

[JeremyG] “Why not reinstall FCP with all the appropriate updates”

I did that recently when I was getting a static look trying to capture or edit to tape. So everything but the OS has been updated. Question, if I reload the OS and get it back to 10.4.7…

will I have to relaod any other app like FCP?

if you do an archive and install, you will minimize reloading apps. That will only load up the OS and keep everything else. If you are going through the trouble, I’d start fresh and reload everything starting with the os and all available updates, then start loading up applications. Cutting corners now can bite ya back later. If you need to keep working, install a new system on a separate drive when you have the time. Wasn’t that static just feedback anyway?

No the static was a software switch in my Kona control panel. It had switched to SDI in when I am connected via Analog.

I would hate to have to reload the entire thing. But I understand the cutting corners thing.

    Thanks
