Title 3D locking up

Hmmm… I have almost the exact same system as you and haven’t seen this for some time; but when I did have it I was able to fix it by trashing the title 3d prefs. Are you sure you’re getting them all? You might want to do a search for “boris”.

I have had it intermitently in the past and i recall fixing it by trashing boris prefs….i just rebuilt my machine this week and its the first time ive tried working on a project since and now title 3D wont work…ill do another serach to make sure ive trashed all the boris prefs

Having similiar issues with 3D. I open the type window and click reset pallette and it locks up. I have used rescue and repairs. It is working now but I Have “fixed” it several times. I also have a G5 2.0, AJA Kona LS, Atto 4d

several restarts and multiple trashing of boris and FCP prefs seems to have “fixed” this issue – until next time!

I’ve had this problem recently also.

I found it is more likely to occur if I have Motion open, and most likely to occur if LiveType is open.

I’ve been saving my work more as a result, which is a good thing :->

No quite the same thing but I find that if I try to open a boris title that has been rendered I get a FCP crash.
Whole app disappears. Solution is to unrender the title first. Bizarre.
