just a question: Do you suppose an extrude effect added to a O would give the impression of a deep hole?

You might try one of the Morphing programs (Morphage…$80, Morph X… free). I also remember a program that would automatically add frames in between (you could specify the number of fill in frames) but I can’t remember the name of it. Perhaps someone else can. If you find out, let us know..

I am not at my computer with Motion, but I have yet to see any mentioin of the Relief filter… I believe. It’s the one that uses grayscale for different elevations. Haven’t taken time to see what it does. If anyone have used this, please let us (me ) know what it is capable of…
    thanks

how ’bout a throw effect, save it as QT, and playin it backward?

  • sorry… my post didnt work… I used a couple of back arrows… anyhow, I put a couple of spaces before and after my words to make the box bigger on the sides. You might try adding a couple of returns befor and after your paragraph, if it is that long, for the top and bottom. If that doen’t work, you might add some letters and make them 0% opaque…

  • I’ve had a couple of problems with the text boxes and have learned to use a couple of s before and after. That moves the box away. Maybe can work at the top and bottom…

I do not have Motion with Me, but I wonder if you could record an action with automator, say, advance timeline 10 frames, open folder, drag a photo into canvas, do a throw behavior… and have it repeat the action 30,000 times, or whatever number photos you have. That, or maybe quickeys, or Applescript (remember the nice little recorder in Applescript)? Wish it were still here…
