Of course, after adding the extra effects possible with the lower resolutions, the net gain for me will probably be zero… but during those fleeting in between moments… WOW
I read an article at the Motion 2 support site today that lowering the resolution in M2 will speed up the “real time”. I wonder if it will be anywhere close to the reverse ratio (1/2 resolution equals 2 times speed increase)…
It’s hard to believe that Apple didn’t know about this problem. After all, it’s their own program. Least they could have done is let us know of a work around… oops… I guess that’s really not the least they could have done, is it.
It’s not a problem… it’s an instant gratification issue. My iMac (G5, 2 gigs Ram) bogs down with a couple of filters to 5 or so fps… not bad considering I used to be happy with my old apple 11c that didn’t even have a hard drive
You might have some problems no matter what. If you time the same 2D animation project (you on the Mac, them on the Window$) and you win, out goes one of the engineers that the company no longer needs..
