    Hello all,

I have a dual 2.5 with 3.5 gigs of ram, I also have a dual 2.7 with 4 gigs of ram. I run the same project on the 2.7 and it runs anout 10 to 14 frames faster on the real time play back and when running simple movements and it runs 5 to 8 frames faster where a particale is involved. Is it the chip or the video card. Can 1/2 gig of ram realy make that much difference in playback?? They are both tested on the same external hard drive.

    thanks all

    It’s the video card. Read:

I read an article at the Motion 2 support site today that lowering the resolution in M2 will speed up the “real time”. I wonder if it will be anywhere close to the reverse ratio (1/2 resolution equals 2 times speed increase)…

Actually Half resolution should generate a FOUR times boost.

Half the width and half the height is a 1/4th of the pixels beinf rendered

So if that were the case…. SWEET

Of course, after adding the extra effects possible with the lower resolutions, the net gain for me will probably be zero… but during those fleeting in between moments… WOW
