Hello There…

I have a problem ,. I cannot digitize form HD-SDI to DVCPRO HD codec… the FCP app crashes out…
works perfect capturing to DVCPRO, DVCPRO 50 or Uncompressed.. (I’m digitising from 1080i50)

while I’m finding a solution to this problem.. I would like to advance in my project doing a offline…

Can I digitise to an offline RT codec?
will maintain the 16:9 and size ratio?

or

Can I do the offline with a DV codec (or DVCPRO50)?
again, what will happen with the sizes/aspect when finally I will do the online at DVCPRO HD 50?

Same problem here also (PAL)

I have to say that I have heard the same crackling noise in the IO BOX LD .. it was solved with firmware updates..

as a rule.. all codecs are upper except DVPAL which is lower..

It’s a common problem to people who have upgraded to 10.4.2

just trash quicktime receipts at library/receipts and reinstall Quicktime from the Standalone Quicktime installer downloaded from the apple site.

have worked this way to many people..

I have the same problem, but only when I choose a specific easy setup… 1080i/50 the rest of settings works perfect.

Sometimes, a mismacth in the capture settings lead into a crash.

verify the capture settings…
drop preferences..

Hello..

have you experienced video delay problems?

I also have a Kona2+KBox… analg audio on the RCA is in sync with the digital video on both SDI outs (HD and SD) but Analog video (either composite and component) have a delay.

So I can’t use the RCA audio to feed a downconverted analog video.
It happen teh same converting the AES to analog?
puting and audio D/A converter delays also the audio and at the end both analog signals are on sync again?

I’m working on PAL..

It seems to..

but actually I’m trying to capture in 1080i/50 and FCP just crash…
everything works fine at the rest of configurations..

my config is DVCPROHD deck conected via HD-SDI to a Kona-2 using the breakout box.

there is a weird thing on the the capture preset provided by AJA since the codec selected is 1080/60.

tomorrow I will test more…
