    Hi there!

I guess they have killed the extended desktop feature on the latest drivers…

I happened the same to me after updating the Drivers.

I usually have the Desktop off but it’s pretty useful when you needed.

    it’s a pitty!

  • Hello Kristian….

How do you set up the 2K @ 25fps mode on a HD Extreme?

In my FCP list, only 23.98 and 24 modes are selectable.

25fps is a must for Commercial Post since we shot at 25fps.

    thanks!

  • So, author with DVDSP setting all the options to “BD”… multiplexing (building) a DVD on the HDD and then toast that folders with Toast 9 will NOT work on a Blu-Ray player?

so then, what are all the Blu-Ray options on the DVDSP’s inspector for?
    just marketing bullshit?

The official Presentations/seminars of Apple assured “HD-DVD and Blu-Ray support”

    ?????

Jesus! this remenbers me the old days of Premiere 3 on Macos 8! your case it’s worse! I’m Sorry.

What I realize here it is that it’s not related to the duration of the project. I tougth that being long projects (1 hour) was the key to blossom the problem…but it’s not.

Have you tried to delete all renders (including render queue) under Render Manager.. is not solving the project but it’s a littl ebi better..

Tomorrow I will try the plug-in trick to force a software render…

Cheers! (and sorry for my english!)

If trashing prefs is not working…

    re-install Quicktime…
to do a complete Quicktime reinstall… you should trash the Quicktime receipts on /Library/receipts first.

This will cheat Quicktime installer and will do a complete reinstall (not a zero K update)

have worked for me several times.

Images are already at minimun frame size! 1920×1080!!!!

Was the first thing that came to my mind… since problems with oversized images are a “legacy” problem in FCP… also be sure that images are RGB not CMYK.

but also happens with movies with alpha channel created in AE.. the Lower Thirds are animated.

  • ProRes… but we’re already talking about this in the other Thread… 😉

Here I was wondering if the (desperated)jump to Leopard could solve the problem… since some folks said here that FCP runs smoother on Leopard as “FCP seems developed with Leopard in mind”

    Cheers

    Matthew..

I’m also with same setup on two macs (Quad G5 and QuadMacpro) and Decklink HD extreme, tried both 6.6.1 and 6.6.2.

Have you experienced that the issue only happens of the video display (Decklink) and the video on the canvas works fine? then when the problem becomes worse it’s happening on both displays?

Well I have read the entire thread…

In our systems we have Decklinlk HD extreme..
Also reinstalled drivers with no difference…

no retiming in my case… just still images at 100% (sized 1920×1080) with a simple cross dissolve.

working in PAL frequencies 1080 50i, also ProResHQ

Also deleted renders ans render queue, but not constant frames..

Our Projects are ONE hour long.. with around 6 hours of captures. Project Size ranging from 17 Mb to 100 MB

    No plug-ins also.

I will try the zero value plug-in trick.. and come back to you…
