It was fixed in the DVX100A, and stays fixed in the DVX100B. There is never an audio sync issue with a DVX100A or 100B.

You have to tell P2 Viewer to establish its secondary bin to view Virtual P2 Cards, and then go to the tool menu to “setting virtual cards” and then navigate to the directory that you stored your footage and specify each directory as a new card.
There’s a manual for P2 Viewer, it gets installed in the directory where you installed P2 Viewer. It explains this, although not necessarily all that clearly!

I know Bescor makes a cigarette-lighter adapter; I’m pretty sure Dolgin makes some sort of adapter as well. I can’t think specifically of an XLR adapter; it’d have to have voltage regulation built into it to step down from 12v-ish to 7.2v-ish. Try Dolgin though, I think they make what you’re looking for.

Yes, and it’s not as easy as you’d think. You can’t just set them to equal settings and expect it to match, you really have to get a production monitor and do some A/B switching. I remember I had to set the DVX’s master pedestal to -8 to match the HVX’s master ped at -4, for example.

I would get the US/NTSC version. 24P is a nearly universal playback medium; if you’re distributing on DVD then a PAL DVD player can play 24P DVDs, but our US/NTSC players can’t play PAL DVDs.

There’s only one camera on the market anywhere near this price range that can shoot both, the Sony Z1U. You can upgrade a couple of the Canons to shoot both. But PAL and NTSC in the same camera is an extremely rare thing.
If you want the filmlook, converting 24p to 25p (and vice versa) is a nearly trivial process. If you’re trying to do interlaced video (60i to 50i) that’s more complex and the results less satisfactory without using dedicated hardware, but to do simple 24p->25p or 25p->24p, that can be done fairly effortlessly.

Early versions of the FireStore did cause that exact issue, yes. Make sure you’re running the last free update, or that you’ve updated to 3.0.
