Is the Audio Snyc issue fixed with the DVX100Bp
I am working a project where people will be shooting with a DVX100b set to 24p mode we will be editing in a time base of 29.97 and not doing the advanced pull down. Editors will work at the same time in diffrent projects and platforms those being the most current verison of FCP and the Brand new osx AvidMediaComposer soft. I have read extensively the articles on the audio delay and how it is caused. However there is conflicting information in regards to when you need to adjust for it. Some documents say there is always a delay, others only if you are using the pull down methodology to get to a 23.9 time base. Final Cut believes the offset to be 2 frames the new version on Meridian soft v2.7 says that the offset is 1. I have also heard that the problem might have been fixed in the DVX100b. Also if the A frame is the only fame the contains a true frame of interlaced fields then must you also ensure you start digitizing on an A frame to avoid common stuttering issues you receive when digitizing film that was transferred to digibeta for instance?
Thanks again
