Check the new Layer/Search/List options for the Object Manager and have a look at the all new Timeline and the Powerslider. Do you own MOCCA? Lots of new tools there, too.

One way to animate parameters ist to Ctrl-click on the small circles that are placed in front of the parameter names in the attribute manager.

When using the plane primitive you can find an axis parameter within the attribute manager.
Choose -Z for the plane that should be in front view and +X or -X for the plane that should be visible in the side view. Depends on the kind of templates you plan to use.
If this is still not working for you. create a cube primitive and activate the separate faces option before converting this cube to a polygon object. This gives you six square polygons to choose from which are all perpendicular to the neighbouring polygons.Kind regards,

Hm, maybe just use the gradient shader set to box and control the amount of tiles from within the texture tag?

Just change the sequence of the path spline with Structure>Edit Spline>Reverse Sequence

September 25, 2006 at 6:18 pm in reply to: Can I add simulated lens filters to my cameras? Some of these effects can be simulated by Post Effect filters such as LSD from 3D Attack or Pleasantville from Motion Gimmick. Just be sure that the plugins run with you version of C4D and check out the demos first (if available).

SubSurface Scattering needs the Advanced Renderer.
If you don’t own that module there are some other plugin shader available that do pretty much the same.
Beside the ones already mentioned there is also Translucent Pro and Vreel Skin:

Ths is what the NET reference tells about it:
Using Plugins and Modules
In contrast to textures and shaders, plugins and modules are not automatically distributed to the clients. If a scene needs a special plugin or module you have to install this plugin or module manually on all clients. Make a new plugins or modules folder for each client in the client folder and copy the plugin or module into the appropriate folder.Kind regards,

The server application is just feeding the clients with the scenes and collecting the results. So the server doesn’t need the modules and plugins at all as it is not rendering or calculating anything.
What you can do is have a client and a server on the same computer, but that is another thing.Kind regards,

A picture to compare the two resullts would help.
Beside this, as you might already know, the editor rendering and the Render output in the picture viewer can differ.
Not all post effects look the same and of course the size of the rendered image will make low subdivisions more obvious than the small editor view.
Beside this there are different subdivision setting for the editor and the picture viewer rendering for a couple of generators such as the HyperNURBS object.Kind regards,
