    Hello,
you should first take care that no plugin is responsible for this. A quick look at the Postforum shows that some users have problems with Shave and/or Stormtracer under OS 10.4 for instance, though the latest Stormtraces should have fixed this.
Remove all installed plugins and check again.

Select all objects and use the Connect command from the Functions menue. Don’t forget to use Optimize afterwards to get rid of duplicate points.

    Good question.

I don’t know RealViz Stitcher indepth, but it allows you to generate panoramas from images. Maybe it has a linking tool included, too.
Here is the link to the Stitcher info page:
    https://www.realviz.com/products/st/index.php
They claim that it can be used to generate Virtual tours (QTVR)

    Hi Todd,

my most recent book about V9 is available since November last year here in Europe. Unfortuantely no translations are planed and I doubt that this will change in the future. Translation costs are too high and take too lnog to justify the effort for most publishers. They make more money with native writers.
As you can see by a quick search at Amazon.com, the number of available titles about Cinema 4D has increased by a large number over the last year. If this continues, you should have more titles to choose from in the future.

If you want to animte the whole bone chain, you have to keyframe all bones of this chain. Work with Selection Objects to store a selection of all bones and then choose that Selection Object within the keyframe filter. Then every time you record a keyframe, all objects in that Selection Object will get keyframed.

    Hi,
what are you keyframing? You are talking about one keyframe, but you have to create keyframes for all bone rotations. Are any target expressions or MOCCA tags involved? Expressions can and will overwrite any keyframed animation.

April 7, 2005 at 8:30 am in reply to: So Slow

    Hello,
by “slow” you mean editor speed or render speed? I guess it’s the editor speed. V9 comes with a lot of eye candy activated by default. Deactivate the wireframe overlay while in Quickshading or Gouraud shading mode as a starting point. It depends on the features of your graphics cards if all of the new layer effects are supported. Take a look at the OpenGL setting and deactivate everything. If it is getting faster in the editor now, switch features on again, one by one and see, what feature is costing the extra redraw time.

Are there any software vendors near you? Find some offering 3D software and they should be able to order directly from MAXON if they don’t have it on stock.
