I would think, based on specs that performance between Camwave/Teradek them would be similar – they’re rated for about 300ft line-of-sight use.
The issue that comes to mind is if the channel/frequency selection for each transmitter/receiver pair is far enough away from each other to avoid crosstalk. I’d give Teradek and IDX (Camwave) an email and see what they recommend or if 4 cameras on their system is possible.
Avalon’s COFDM system seems the most promising as you can select multiple frequency bands while other products are limited to the 5gHz spread. Their system seems limited to SD though, as HD is marked as “coming soon”.
Cobham and a few other companies make HD COFDM systems if your director wants it or if it’s not worth the expense of downconverts.

Quartz Composer is, in a very broad sense, an embedded Apple technology similar to Adobe Flash in that it allows you to attach programming to visual elements.
While I’ve seen Quartz compositions converted into After Effects plugins (Noise Industries FxFactory Pro comes to mind), I’ve not seen any tool to convert AE to Quartz.

The official BluRay spec supports 1440×1080 and does the desqueeze to 1920×1080 in the player. This may or may not be as high quality as “baking in” the desqueeze in a 1920×1080 file, I have to say I’ve never authored a 1440×1080 BluRay.

All the others have given you some excellent information – all of the tools leverage FFMPEG/FFMBC.
May I suggest my tool PRHelper in case you ever need to batch dailies? The interface is far more friendly for batch operation and I’m going to try and update it soon to handle single file operation using drag and drop (it’s a bit cumbersome now).

Premiere, so far as I know, only uses DirectShow codecs for AVI (it will use Quicktime for MOV and built-in codecs for other purposes). It’s generally advised that things like k-lite and other codec packs not be installed to avoid conflicts though.

If you have access to the internet via location or a hotspot then use Dropbox with everyone signed into the same production specific account. It’s available on desktop/laptop. iOS, and android. It does not lock documents.
Google Docs and collaborative editing may be another option with more refined document formatting done after the shoot.
The only issue is that both will not work without an internet connection.

Premiere’s adjustment layer can be thought of an extension of the effects stack for the layer before it. The adjustment layer doesn’t have it’s own alpha so if you add, say, a garbage matte then the alpha layer is applied to the clip under as if you had applied the garbage matte directly.
Soft mattes need to be created with the Titler tool and it sounds like you already know the process.

In Premiere? No. You need vision mixer software – there are about 20 or so programs at varying prices that will mix a live feed with pre-recorded. None are free.

Nope. Of course with a 1440×1080 timeline, it will be exported to 1920×1080 1.0 Square PAR, but there is no reason to convert all your footage before hand unless you’re mixing it in with footage from other cameras, doing heavy VFX work on it, etc.
1440×1080 1.33 PAR is a capture format and is a way of getting 1920×1080 quality with a bit of cheating on the part of the camera engineers. For all intent and purpose, anything exported with the intent of a normal person watching it should be 1920×1080 square PAR.

Not all versions of Windows support DVD playback with Windows Media Player out-of-the-box, especially Windows 8, and some versions of Windows 7. https://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-media-player-plug-ins This is simply to reduce licensing costs for Microsoft.
Download VLC player and play your DVD from there on Windows to confirm it’s not a bad disc burn or some exotic problem.
Also, although DVD players may be able to play both PAL and NTSC variant’s, don’t count on them to and don’t count on a TV understanding the signal. Author for each region separately as needed.
