select all the clips in the timeline then press cmd-opt-v to bring up the “Remove Attributes” dialog.
put a check in the “Basic Motion” checkbox and make sure all other options are unchecked.note: this will remove all basic motion attributes from all clips whether you wanted to or not! if there are some clips you don’t want to affect then be selective in your selection.

i sthis for broadcast or a pproval? if the former then they probably want a high bit-rate MPEG 2 file … forget emailing, 5 MB is too small, set up an ftp server where they can download the larger, better quality file from instead.

this is a known bug when making DV PAL AVI’s … haven’t seen it in with NTSC tho.
workaround for PAL is to make a DV PAL MOV instead, then take the MOV into MPEG Streamclip and use the File > Export to AVI option

I was looking at this the other day … the long and the short of it seems to be that the specific component is not lost if you continually “upgrade” … but those who follow the clean install method would certainly lose this functionality.
Apple had a knowlegebase article about this, i’ll link it if i can dig it up

everything is as it should be … anamorphic 16:9 DV IS 4:3 … it can’t be anything else.
you need to better understand what “anamorphic” means. have a look here https://www.helerab.fi/widescreen it has some pictures!if you want it to be letterboxed, ie 16:9 within th e4:3 picture then you need to drop the 16:9 (anamorphic) sequnece into a 4:3 sequence (not anamorphic) first
