December 7, 2015 at 9:48 am in reply to: Any way to reset the User Order in Icon bin Sort? You could submit this as a feature request Scott if you’re so inclined… one possible implementation would be that any time you’re viewing a bin in Icon View mode, regardless of the currently selected sort order, if you manually drag a clip and move it to a different position then you are by that action switching to “User Order” and simultaneously setting your (new) user order based on the current arrangement.

Yes, check the track patching area in your timeline window… far left of the timeline… source patch on the left of the track lock icon (the padlock), target patch on the right.

December 6, 2015 at 11:24 am in reply to: No audible audio even though I see it playing in the timeline of premiere cc 2015. Nothing is muted, the speakers work fine. Thanks!Mac or PC, Milla?
Either way check your Audio Hardware preference settings and maybe post a screenshot. Should help the folks here to assist with the problem.
If you’re running Premiere under Windows then check the Device Class settings are correct for your setup… you’d usually have an option for ASIO or WDM/MME. I suspect that was the option that you unsuspectingly reset. Try toggling that.

December 6, 2015 at 11:14 am in reply to: Once in the timeline, is there a way to change an audio’s Audio Track?Hmm… I’m pretty sure that I swap audio channels on timeline clips all the time Morten. Note, I’m talking about switching between available mono channels not switching format interpretation (e.g. stereo to mono etc),
I’ll have to check again in the morning tho. I’m relatively new to PPro so it’s always possible I’ve got it wrong.

I don’t have an AJA card/box Matt, so I don’t know what your input options are, but you might want to make sure that you’re not inadvertently feeding Mic level audio into a port expecting a Line level input.
Maybe worth a second look just in case.

December 6, 2015 at 7:56 am in reply to: “Error compiling movie” during render or export, any ideas?I’ve had the unexpected “Error compiling movie” error occur once or twice on a couple of projects … when it happened it was always during a direct export from PPro.
I’m afraid I don’t have the solution to your problem, but just want to share that I was always able to successfully export the exact same media with the exact same export settings if I used the “Queue” option instead i.e. if I used Adobe Media Encoder.
Hopefully Joe’s suggestion will fix your issue… but if not, using AME might be worth a shot if you haven’t tried that already.
YMMV

December 6, 2015 at 7:40 am in reply to: Once in the timeline, is there a way to change an audio’s Audio Track? You might want to try the Modify > Audio Channels function
I use it all the time for quickly swapping the source audio channel used in timeline clip after the fact.Cheers
