June 10, 2014 at 9:54 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC ‘Reveal file in Project’ unavailable/missing on certain clipsDid you import the clips through the media browser or via import in project bin?
Have you tried reimporting the problem clips through media browser, clicking on them in your sequence, then clicking replace from bin to see if you can then activate the menus?

June 6, 2014 at 6:37 pm in reply to: how to keep all software when changing to new mac pro?If your new Mac Pro comes with 10.9.2 be sure to clone the drive the second you get it. DO NOT upgrade Mavericks to 10.9.3 with Adobe CC. Lots of headaches with the AMD graphics cards in the new Mac Pro, but hopefully the fix will be released soon. Save yourself the headache and sit on the old release for now.

Why all the XMLing? If you both are on the same software version of Premiere, have access to the same duplicated hard drives with the exact same media paths, why not swap Premiere Project files through email, drop box, Hightail etc. Yes your render files and media cache files might not hook up, but the media sure can. You need to also make sure you have all the same plug-ins or swapping the projects will generate errors. You don’t necesarily need Adobe Anywhere unless you have access to large cash flow to pay for the servers and big pipe to handle the traffic. Yes you can edit in Proxy mode, but currently still a hefty price tag to get into Adobe Anywhere.

June 3, 2014 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC no longer compatible with New Mac Pro running 10.9.3Hi Ben,
Ok, sorry not much help on my part then. Guess we are all on hold till the next Premiere update and or Apple pushes out a fix. I just time machined one of our new Mac Pro’s w/ 10.9.2 so I can go back.

June 3, 2014 at 7:29 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC no longer compatible with New Mac Pro running 10.9.3Have you tried turning off OpenCL and using software only for exports. I know, not the answer you want to hear, but maybe a temp fix till Apple pushes out 10.9.4 and or Adobe pushes out a new update.

Derek,
Are you on Mavericks 10.9.3 with a new Mac Pro by chance? Those issues are common right now until Apple pushes out 10.9.4.
Now where to change your setting when exporting from Premiere vs. Media Encoder queue:
In Premiree Go to File Menu / Project settings / General tab / Video Rendering and Playback / change to software only.Andy Edwards

Agree with you Phil. I’d like to know what changed with regards to Red 4K footage between CS6 & CC. Did something under the hood change? Are there settings we need to adjust for 4K to work better in CC vs. CS6? A friend of mine editing a 4K Red project gets better performance out of CS6 than CC. Maybe Adobe has it’s reasons, but I would hope they would share the settings change so we can all take advantage of being in the Cloud when working with Red 4K.

PP CC can do the exact same thing as FCP 7. Just hit the camera icon on the frame you need in your Preview or Program Monitor, check the box that says import frame into project, insert your frame into your sequence. If you don’t see the camera icon, click the + button and ad it next to your play, stop, FWD buttons.

Thanks for trying to trouble shoot this Eric.
Not sure I get how you want me to test this. Change everything to software only in Premiere so it does not use the BMD card?
