DeckLink Studio 2 DVCPROHD Playback
Is there something special you have to do to get this card to playback DVCPROHD? Did a fresh install of this card to an editors Mac Pro Tower running Lion. Installed the drivers for Premiere CC, loaded up a project and it playbacks ProRes fine on the external monitor. Grab a DVCPROHD clip and place it in a Premiere Sequence, no external playback to the monitor. The same clip will play back in the Premiere Source monitor, but not the external. I work mainly with AJA based edit systems so any help with getting this BMD card up and running would be a great help.

What resolution is the DVCPro HD in? Do you lose playback if the DVCPro HD is in the same timeline as other media?

DVCPRO HD file is 1280×1080. Yes, you can load it into a timeline and it does not playback when mixed with other ProRes media.

Will it play on the program monitor if you don’t use the Blackmagic card for output?

Not sure I get how you want me to test this. Change everything to software only in Premiere so it does not use the BMD card?

Turn off transmit and see if that media will play in the program monitor.
