    Hi guys,

I’m having some problems to read RED files on media browser on CC.
    It’s too slow.
I ran some quick tests here.
In CS6, create a new project and chose a drive in media browser. It read the files in 21 seconds.
In CC, create a new project and chose the same drive in media browser. It read the files in 1 minute and 40 seconds.
I really enjoy editing in CC but this issue is killing me.
    Does anyone have a clue?
    Thanks

Try turning MB to list view.

And why not mark all your clips in Prelude and then just send the selects to PPro?

    Thanks for the answers guys.
Yes, I can switch to list view and I can use Prelude but media browser is a nice feature inside PP and works just fine in CS6.
Its just too slow in CC.
I really wish there was a fix for this. Its not a new feature, its exactly the same as CS6, it should work as well or even better in CC.

Agree with you Phil. I’d like to know what changed with regards to Red 4K footage between CS6 & CC. Did something under the hood change? Are there settings we need to adjust for 4K to work better in CC vs. CS6? A friend of mine editing a 4K Red project gets better performance out of CS6 than CC. Maybe Adobe has it’s reasons, but I would hope they would share the settings change so we can all take advantage of being in the Cloud when working with Red 4K.
