Project collaboration between 2 editors
Hi,
I’m a newbie to PP, have looked around for this information with limited success. There’s basically 2 editors in 2 different Geo locations that will be working on a common project, bouncing each other’s sequence back and forth. As a starter, they each have the same footage, and editor A who’s started the project sends a copy of the project file to the other, which contains the first version of the sequence.
Going forward, ideally, editor B increments the sequence number by one and does his thing; he would then be able to export an XML back to editor A to do his part and etc.
Am I not getting something obvious, or is PP forcibly not letting us exporting a metadata-only file (à la XML) to enable round tripping within PP? The only options are FCP-XML and EDLs…
From what I’ve read, the official answer seems to be tied to Adobe Anywhere (AA). And if I further got this right, AA is not part of the Cloud package, but you need the cloud apps (such as PP) in order to use it…
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Alain Durocher
