    Hi

Currently we are working on this issue and should have a driver to address this issue by next week.

In the mean time if you say no not at this time to the installation of the decklink display you will be able to continue to work with After Effects, Premiere Pro etc

Desktop display will be the only element not present.

To stop the message from reappearing – disable the device in the device manager.

any further questions email – pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com.

    Hi Stewart

I have not been able to replicate this extact issue. Please can you outline the extact process and the size/length and type of clips.

Additionally can you email your system specifications including motherboard make and model.
Also include the disk array configuration and any other information about your workflow that will help.

    Thank you.

  • Hi

Is it possible you changed drive mappings after the installation of production studio ?
Recommend starting the installation of production studio again to avoid any manual copying of files.

Ensure you have DirectX9.0, Quicktime7.0, SP2 before installing production studio – then once you are set up – install the Decklink driver last.

Presets should then be available in all supported applications.

    Any problems email – pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com

    Hi

Please can you check that you set your preferences > scratch disks to the fastest disk array ( video array ) This will improve performance and playback.

Check that you have directX9.0, quicktime7.0 and Sp2 with the latest Decklink drivers.

If you are still experiencing difficulties email your system configuration including motherboard make and model include the location of each PCI device and the disk configuration. Number of disks per array, raid level etc. As much information about the process and the workflow as you can come up with and you think may be relavant.

May 12, 2006 at 4:04 am in reply to: DVI-D to BNC?

I think you would be better off converting the output from the machine room to an SDI signal and then you have 300f to play with. To monitor the deck have a HDlink at the end of the SDI.

What type of Decks are in the machine room ? What is the layout of the studio?

April 30, 2006 at 11:12 pm in reply to: Advice needed – Premiere, decklink HD, varricam

Varricam capture can be done using the 720HD 60 Blackmagic preset.
All rates can be captured using this preset.
Once you acquired the material you can reinterpret the footage to the correct frame rate.

April 6, 2006 at 6:19 am in reply to: Heat from MB Extreme

    Hi

The construction of MB Extreme is such that the combination of fan for ventilation and case surface area to dissipate the heat is sufficient to keep it running correctly.

If you boot the MB Extreme into convertor mode you can access the temperature gauge and monitor it this way.

    Installation.
MB Extremes are robust. Ensure that the ends of the Multibridge Extreme are not covered so that air can pass freely.

If you have any further questions let me know

  • Decklink Presets are available in Premiere Pro 2.0 that will permit working in
    PsF 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30 and interlaced – 50, 59.94 and 60.

Video and Audio is transmitted via the SDI connection.

To capture audio independantly you need to provide a null video source (black video).
