We are currently using the Canon H1 for testing purposes in house and they are great. One SDI cable from the camera to the card.
Once you have captured using a Decklink card to Uncompressed video you can edit and play back without rendering. Realtime transistions and effects are possible if you disk array and machine can keep up.

Hi
The D955XCS as listed is based on the same chipset as D955XBK.
From the motherboard brief there doesn’t seem to be a great deal of difference.Review the following hardware listing for complete tested hardware.

Hi
Firewire issue has been addressed and will be available in the next driver.
DV on an uncompressed timeline – is currently being looked at by the developers and should have a solution soon. Hopefully today.
The soft output of DV material on an 8 bit timeline I am having trouble reproducing. Please can you send the process to reproduce this bug and I will take a look at it.

March 6, 2006 at 4:59 am in reply to: Is this a practical workaround for DigiBeta editing in Premiere Pro?Hi
Yes that is a valid workflow – working in DV first, then importing the sequence into an uncompressed timeline, unlink the media and batch capture again.
Yes it would save disk space but the over head is time. Personally I would work directly with the final format and not need to recapture any media.

WinXP 32bit on Partition (A) and WinXP 64bit on Partition (B)
Video array as another drive letter will be able to be seen from either OS when booted.
Install 32bit versions first – sort out partitions – install x64 to new partition.
boot.ini file will now have mutiple entries. If you have trouble with the install email pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com

February 3, 2006 at 12:38 am in reply to: proper monitor set up: Decklink SP, UVW-1800Vertical Roll – sounds like your using a Genlock (black source) and the only thing not connected is the monitor.
If this is the case – ensure all devices are connected to the a sync.
Or all devices are not connected and that the deck is not configured to sync.If you have further problems email – pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com
Thanks
