    Hello,
I need to edit DigiBeta footage and I want to do this with PPro, because I am experienced with this software.
I would be very happy if someone could tell me, if I understood everything right.

    – I invest in a PC System that fulfills the Decklink specifications
    – to save disk space I capture the DigiBeta Footage via SDI with BMDs DV codec
    – after editing the movie in LowQuality DV codec I replace the DV files by recapturing (batch capture) the DigiBeta Footage in 10 bit HQ and record the final movie to tape via SDI

Is everything correct or did I miss something?

    Thank you very much,

    Bogey

    Hi

Yes that is a valid workflow – working in DV first, then importing the sequence into an uncompressed timeline, unlink the media and batch capture again.

Yes it would save disk space but the over head is time. Personally I would work directly with the final format and not need to recapture any media.
