All the responses to your post are interesting, but if you only need to work on music, the aspect ratio
displayed is irrelevant, the audio will play ok.

….yes, using the frame controls tab in Compressor, when setting the parameters. Just be prepared for a long wait. Look at utilizing all processors, and clustering Macs.

QuickTime uses square pixels, NTSC pixels are rectangular. Enough said?

all the tools are already in FCP Studio.

Rendering is dependent on the power and memory of your system.
What are the specs of the Mac you used on this?

your 15″ MBP did not have the option of a matte screen, a direct side by side comparison of
glossy vs. matte is what is needed.
