Depending on the model of G4, you can get an airport card. These were a service item for these Macs
and run under OSX. Try Google.

? I read that as FCP2, admittedly an ancient version and probably a typo.
Having said tht, FCP is QuickTime dependent, your new Mac will have a later version of QT that may not be compatible with a previous sourced clip.

Apart from camera movement NTSC should not be jerky, this is not “typical”.

Hi Malcolm,
So what camera did the material come from? DV NTSC 4×3 is 720×480, but these are rectangular pixels. NTSC is NOT square pixels.

Hi Malcom,
I’ll bet you’re using a Canon DV camera,.
Those sidebars are over-scan lines, and are outside the TV safe area,
they won’t show on TV, scaled down for the web they will be unnoticeable.
