Please let me clear up a few things:
The KONA line is not cross-platform, it is Mac-only. Certain cards in the KONA line exist in our OEM lineup for Linux and Windows, but these are not available to the general public but are for use for OEM’s (Other Equipment Manufacturers) who create software/hardware to be used with them…such as Ramona’s company Spectsoft.
These Linux and Windows OEM products do not include general drivers for use with everyday retail software, but instead include development software and environments tailored specifically for OEM’s. There are many other cards that live in our OEM lineup that do not show up at all in our retail sales, and vice-versa.
The XENA HS is one card that crosses both as it is an OEM card AND also available as a retail card for use with Cineform Prospect HD software and Adobe Premiere, yet it does not exist on our Mac retail products.

KONA 2 does perform this function:
You need to load the “AJA KONA 2- NTSC 23.98 8 Bit Uncompressed” or “AJA KONA 2- NTSC 23.98 10 Bit Uncompressed” Easy Setups. We will do the 3:2 Pulldown removal automatically.

Any and all of the Io Control Panel settings, including ProcAmp, can be saved and recalled later. Are you saving the presets as “default” as follows?
Under the “Presets” tab, there are controls for “Load Preset” and “Save Preset As…”. Any preset can also be set as the default, with the “Set Default” button, which once set even retains the settings if the Io is powered down and unplugged!

On all of our KONA cards with 3x BNC analog outputs, including Kona LH, the 3x BNC’s are configurable as:
– component (various flavors)
OR
– composite AND Y/C
This of course applies to the breakout cables, and the KL-BOX.

No, the Io’s will not work in this way. Our Firewire 400 connectors carry uncompressed data, for use with Final Cut Pro, etc.

Just an FYI for our friends around the world:
AJA does not ship first to US companies as opposed to those overseas from us. We ship on a first-in, first-out basis. In the case of the KONA LH, we have shipped many many units overseas already!
