FYI, the KONA LHe works in all three PCIe G5 models, and the two Dual’s are available next week (so says the Apple Store)…so, no waiting for 4 weeks (unless of course you want that killer Quad!).

AJA is striving towards only announcing what is ready to ship…the KONA LHe is the first PCIe-based product from AJA, and it’s ready to send out the door in under two weeks.

We are aggressively working on new products, and you will hear about them when they are real and are close or ready to ship. We don’t want to put our clients in any awkward positions of waiting for product that has an undefined delivery date (we learned our lesson!). We want to be completely reliable to you on all levels.

AJA has a 30-day return policy, so if you are unhappy, we will take it back. 🙂

That being said, please note that you will need to upgrade your G5 and many other components of your system if you wish to upgrade to PCIe and KONA LHe. Your KONA LH operates as advertised, as I’m sure your entire current system does…I know it’s frustrating when new computers, storage, cards, arrive seemily every month!

Again, if you are unhappy, please let us know, as that is not our wish.

Hi-

It will provide the hardware acceleration for DVCPRO-HD in Final Cut Pro 4.5, but not HDV support and Dynamic RT Extreme as they were not part of FCP4.5, but were intro’d by Apple as part of FCP5.
