Kona LH and it’s analog and SDI outputs

Just got our Kona LH in today and will be replacing our second cinwave system tommorow, There is a composit output on the KL-BOX just like the K-Box, it looks like you will have the choice of Analog component or composite monitoring, I assum it will work just like the K-box but will know for shure tommorow

I get mine today…but the outputs, according to what I’ve read and this forum, are configurable for either of the three formats: S, Component, or composite. If you need more than one of these at any one time, you need convertor boxes, or the ioLA which has multiple outputs hot all the time.

We’re all coming from Cinewaves…. this is one feature we will ALL miss. Maybe with enough noise, AJA will make a BOB similar to Cinewaves ProAnalog, or Aurora’s PipePro. Although some on this forum question its validity. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Waveform/Vectors, multiple decks, are great arguments for addition I/O for the Kona line.

Hi-

On all of our KONA cards with 3x BNC analog outputs, including Kona LH, the 3x BNC’s are configurable as:

– component (various flavors)

OR

– composite AND Y/C

This of course applies to the breakout cables, and the KL-BOX.

Thanks for the responses. It would be nice if we did have both composite and a component outputs at the same time. We run our monitors with the component output and need composite with our waveform monitor. It’s a shame that we have to choose or purchase an adaptor such as a SDI to composite, or component to composite.
