    Hy,

Much has been said about the new Kona LH card in the last couple of days, most of it sounding quite promising. I wonder whether anyone knows exactly when will it be actually ready for purchasing. I am from Europe and when I asked my local dealer when will it have it, he replied no sooner than november, despite KONA stating available now.

I sincerely hope Kona LH won’t go the same route as BM Multibridge promoting its famous tag “available soon” for more than 6 months now. Anyone knowing any actual and verified dates, please let me know.

    Best regards

    Drazen

On the other side of the water…
Promax says they’ll receive some this week.
B&H photo says that’ll get some in two weeks.
I ordered one from my local dealer, I’m guessing around that time.

Drazen: that delay is due to EU limitations and getting enough product to fulfill orders, I was told that the LH boards started shipping Monday Sept 12th in the US. Any issue with availability at this point would be about demand, which I understand was greater than expected during IBC so maybe 45 days out for delivery on a brand new product is not that bad.

    Hi-

KONA LH is shipping since IBC, and we have shipped many many units around the world (in the hundreds in fact). If your dealer does not have any in stock, they will soon, we are shipping every day!

Feel free to call us if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Thank you,

It’s not surprising really that there is such a run on the thing because you’ve got AJA’s quality and a great product. Unfortunately, this is often the case with new products where in our industry where you really don’t want to make too many products without knowing what the demand will be. I would expect them to catch up in short order, but it certainly does take longer to get them overseas when it’s a US company.

Just an FYI for our friends around the world:

AJA does not ship first to US companies as opposed to those overseas from us. We ship on a first-in, first-out basis. In the case of the KONA LH, we have shipped many many units overseas already!

    Hi to everyone,

Thank you very much for the reply. Well I hope it won’t take as much as my dealer promissed, since I am putting high hopes on his skills to get the goodies to his customer. On the other hand it is completely understandable. It seems that KONA LH is a truly great product and no wonder the demand is exceeding the supply.

Best regards and thanks again for the info,

    future KONA LH user

I’m with you Drazen…I’m in the US and purchase from B&H (NYC)…they told me its on order, but have no idea when it will arrive. They say items from AJA never come as promised… probably due to the quantity they order.
Would have loved to have it for my next gig, but I’ll be patient.
