January 23, 2008 at 3:05 pm in reply to: Decklink 720 to 1080 output is not working

    Hi

Sorry for the delay in response.

[Chris Borjis] “[Shane Ross] “The Decklink cards aren’t designed to cross-convert 720p to 1080i…only the Kona 3 does that. What are you doing to try to get a 1080 signal?”

yeah, I was going to ask where Zeliha found that option. “

Yes it does but only for monitoring purposes. You can turn this option on System Preferences>Other>Decklink. And once in Decklink select Procecessing tab and then select the Output Processing 720pHD to 1080i HD. This sets HD software cross conversion on video output.

The other options are HD to SD Letterbox 16:9 and HD to SD Anamorphic 16:9

    Hope this helps.

PS: I have been using this function for the past two years and never had a problem with it. I am only experiencing this artefacts issue since I have upgraded two of my macs to intel macs.

Not sure how to solve it. No one on the Blackmagic Decklink Forum replied 🙁 I am not impressed.

    Regards

    Zeliha

    Thanks
