    Hi

I am working on a HD project 720p30. I have a lot of SD archive to edit into this project. However when I edit the SD footage in I get really bad interlacing artefacts.

So is there a de-interlacing filter I can use withing Final Cut (apart from the FCP’s built in one) that does a really really good job. I am preapered to pay for it it doesnt have to be free one.

    Thanks

    Zee 🙂

IMO the best interlacing package is Fields Kit from revisioneffects.com. Far and away better than anything else I’ve seen. Works in FCP and AE.

    Have a wonderful day.

While I’ve always been recommending FieldsKit as well, recently I had some very critical footage (small lettering and over-sharpening from the camera) where Graeme Nattress’ de-interlacer plug-in for Color did a better job. These things depend very much on image content.

    Regards,

    Uli
